Aquafacial in Hamburg
With an Aquafacial, the skin is cleansed with a water jet, gently exfoliated and then supplied with active ingredients — all in one session, with a single device. Unlike a classic manual cleansing facial, nothing is squeezed. That is why the skin is usually not red afterwards, and you can carry straight on with your day.

What happens during the treatment
First the uppermost layer of skin is loosened and removed, then the pores are drawn out with negative pressure. Finally, moisturising active ingredients are applied to the freshly cleansed skin. The water jet is what makes the difference: nothing is scraped and nothing is squeezed. What expert qualification actually means in this context is set out in § 4 of the NiSV: it „shall enable the safe application of the treatment procedure, the avoidance of risks associated with its application, and the appropriate minimisation of unavoidable risks.“ (This quotation is a translation from the German; the original German wording of § 4 NiSV is the authoritative version.) Put plainly: it is not the device that decides the result, but who guides it and how carefully the skin was looked at beforehand.
Which skin it suits
A good fit for blemishes, clogged pores, a dull complexion and dry skin. We do not treat acute inflammation, open areas or fresh sunburn — we go through this with you beforehand in the medical history form.
How often it makes sense
As a one-off freshening treatment before an occasion, it works well. If you want to change the appearance of your skin in the long term, you are better served by an appointment every four to six weeks. A single treatment is not a course of treatment.
Straight afterwards
No downtime, no hiding away. Make-up is possible, but we advise giving your skin the rest of the day to rest. Leave out sauna, tanning beds and strong acid care for 24 to 48 hours.

Does an Aquafacial hurt?
No. Most people find it pleasant — the water jet cools, and the negative pressure feels like a light tugging.
How long does the result last?
You can see the fresh skin immediately and usually for one to two weeks. A lastingly changed skin appearance takes several appointments at intervals of four to six weeks.
Can I go straight to work afterwards?
Yes. That is exactly the difference from a classic manual cleansing facial — nothing is squeezed, so the skin is normally not reddened.
Does Aquafacial help against blemishes?
It cleanses the pores thoroughly and can visibly improve the appearance of the skin. It does not replace medical treatment — with pronounced acne, a dermatologist is the right route.
